Skills, knowledge, experience required:

3 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server, SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services), SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services), SSAS (SQL Server Analysis Services);
Experience with:
Data warehouse design;
ETL processes;
Programming languages such as C#, Python or R;
Dashboard development on Microsoft Power BI or similar reporting tools;
BMC ITSM/ITSM data;
BMC Remedy Smart Reporting tool;
ITIL v3 or higher Certificate.

Desirable:

Experience with MS SharePoint (Administration experience is desirable).

Duties/role:

Taking responsibility for the accessibility, retrievability and security of specific subsets of data;
Assessing the integrity of data from multiple sources (including, Data from sensors measurement systems or ticketing systems);
Maintaining and implementing information handling procedures;
Manipulating specific data from information services, to satisfy local or specific information needs;
Investigating enterprise data requirements, and applies data analysis, data modelling and quality assurance techniques, to establish, modify or maintain data structures and their associated components (entity descriptions, relationship descriptions, attribute definitions);
Providing advice and guidance to database designers and others using the data structures and associated components;
Collecting required data through various data sources;
Utilizing designated data analysis software (both internal and external software) to analyze data;
Appling data analysis and data modelling techniques to establish, modify, and maintain data structure, and its associated components;
Writing reports from data analysis to help decision making at the senior level;
Investigating data requirements in the software development process;
Participating in designing blueprints on how to structure, store and utilize data;
Following standards, processes and methodologies to develop each phase of data architecture (e.g. data manipulating processes, database technology generating processes);
Selecting criteria used to support data processing operations, data flow and the flow control system;
Detecting and summarizes patterns in data and findings by producing simple reports;
Assessing common problems and obstacles surrounding data gathering;
Customizing data fields to meet clients needs;
Interpreting and explaining results of a datagathering initiative;
Participating in projects to gather data for needs analysis;
Compiling user requirements and specifications for reports;
Designing, creating and testing MS SQL reports using SSRS, Power BI and Excel;
Validating report functionality with internal staff/end users;
Responding to users to troubleshoot and/or improve existing reports;
Designing/developing ETL processes, data models and data warehouses.
