As a Segment Marketing lead for the Barco Control Rooms business unit, you are end responsible for an overall true outside-in segment strategy and its value proposition.
Together with your team you are responsible for advocating and implementing this winning business strategy.
Key responsibilities
Lead the overall market segment strategy for Barco in your segment. Influence and impact the organization, drive buy-in and decision-making at the executive level.
Build a profound understanding of the segment: overall trends, eco-system, market problems, market definition, segmentation and size, customer and buyer types & their journey, win/loss, competitors and our positioning.
Be the sparring partner of business unit leadership (sales, product management, marketing) on your segment's strategy, products, solutions, service and marketing.
- Identify the key target audience for the value propositions based on data-driven customer segmentation.
- Provide factbased market/enduser and buyer insights and problems/needs as the basis of any business case. Be a driver to create roadmaps and business cases for new value propositions in your segment.
- Determine & implement the Go-ToMarket strategy, in close collaboration with sales leaders.
- Give clear recommendations to product management for enduser and channel pricing (product management owns pricing/business case).
- Collaborate closely with product management to translate the value propositions into a winning product portfolio and concrete product and services development.
- Lead in thought leadership activities within the segment.
- Build and execute an alliance strategy for a winning Barco play in the Segment's ecosystem Travel to meet endcustomers, partners and to find possible new segments (up to 30%)
Your profile
Education:
- Master's degree or MBA required
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of strategy experience.
- Experience in defining market strategies and creating value propositions.
- Experience in complex value chains with different influencers and gotomarket approaches.

- Market problems definition, sizing & segmentation. Enduser and buyer persona's and journey mapping.
- Strategy setting, upstream marketing, value propositions, gotomarket and sales enablement.
- Customer Journey mapping and improvements.
- Understanding of your Segment's market or related experiencefocused markets is a plus.
