BNPPF being a company critical to our country's economy, it has the obligation that its business processes are sustained by solid and resilient IT Infrastructure.

Some are utterly important, and could put the whole Belgian economy or the bank's financial stability at stake, should the bank be unable to deliver them for more than a few hours.

The Business Analyst we are looking for will thus work for a process called "CAR" (Critical Asset Recovery), whereby plans and scenarii are made for ensuring that under any condition, the bank is able to come back in full capacity of delivering those critical processes.

The sum of the continuity plans doesn't make a whole Critical Asset Recovery plan, because interactions add yet another level of complexity to it.

Continuity Management as a whole encompasses 2 sides: Business Continuity Management, and IT Continuity Management.

FUNCTION

You will work as part of the CAR squad, part of the Cyber Resiliency cluster.

As a Business Analyst, you will conduct interviews and workshops, that will help you to:

Challenge all stakeholders to make sure all details have been mentioned, all layers of service have been scrutinized
Be accountable for the quality, accuracy, and the maintenance of a documentation that will be use to support the CAR process
Build a scenario to quickly and flawlessly rebuild a given critical asset, without data loss, minimizing the downtime.
The ultimate deliverable of this exercise is an Asset Recovery Runbook, that describes in detail what should be done, in what timing,

to recover the different Business Services after a Cyber incident.

This scenario will of course have to be validated through asset recovery exercises, that should be as realistic as possible, and will be organized by the Business Analyst in collaboration with the Delivery Scrum Master and the product Owner.

Your stakeholders in building this strategy will be:

Business Continuity Managementand their contacts in the business, who will help you understand the key points that make the asset a critical one, what the priorities should be in rebuilding the service, defining what degraded modes can be allowed, for how long, what data cannot be lost, or could be reconstructed, etc.
IT Infrastructure, ensured by our partner BP2I, which on top, offers some fundamental services such as backup and restores, etc.
For your mission, you will be assisted by a Process Engineer, who will focus on drawing up all recovery processes and organize a sturdy documentation that can be used for organizing the Asset Recovery validation exercises, and be presented to an (external) auditor for evidence.

We thus expect that you have the following competences and intrinsic qualities:

Have a good experience of IT infrastructure (5 years at least);
Good knowledge of ITIL processes, how the related together, what are the roles of all stakeholders (ITIL certification is a plus);
Have a good experience in working in an Agile environment you will closely work with a Scrum Master, a Product Owner, a Cluster Product Owner, Ops engineers.)
Be very sensitive to a company's culture, and way of doing things;
Be able to quickly and easily liaise with people, and able to keep very good relations with them despite often tense conditions of work;
Very good presentation and convincing skills are vital, because you will have to get the buyin of a lot of people, that will reject your propositions if they are not convinced
