Job Summary:

Reporting to the Senior Manager, IT Global Support and Operations, the SAP Basis Administrator will manage the SAP basis operational services for our SAP landscape.

This role serves as gatekeeper to the SAP systems that run our business and leverage technology to deliver high value IT services to design, implement and deploy SAP solutions and achieve defined business objectives.

The SAP Basis Administrator is an experienced and proven SAP technology practitioner and leader, who can drive and envision the SAP technology roadmap, and give rise to a culture that reduces unnecessary, reactive and repetitive work to help meet capacity and performance expectations as part of day to day SAP operations.

Additionally, ownership of the SAP technical architecture and the systems that deliver high availability, reliability, and scalability, lies with the Basis Administrator.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Work in SAP implementation, migration and upgrade projects.
Monitor & Optimize system performance, perform root cause analysis, administer system and provide technical support.
Perform system activities, changes and problem management in SAP infrastructure.
Provide regular reports on system performance, system uptime and utilization.
Perform enhancement and optimization on database or system related process.
Project planning, execution and completion.
Service planning and controlling, completion.
Business or development process analysis and design.
Collaborate with external partners in projects.
Backup and recovery.
Work with SAP Security, Development, Integration, and Basis teams to implement new SAP Cloud based Solutions.

Qualifications:

SAP Technical Architecture & Implementation experience around SAP Basis.
Strong understanding of Basis principles with an ability to oversee Basis strategy within security, disaster recovery and overall system performance.
Experience with implementing SAP NetWeaver; SAP ECC; Enterprise Portal; Solution Manager (SOM); SAP Fiori / Gateway; Business Warehouse (BW).
SAP Process Integration (PI) / Process Orchestration (PO); SAP Single-Sign on (SSO); Secured Socket Layer (SSL): SAP Business Objects (BOBJ).
SAP Central Processing Scheduler (CPS); SAP Database (DB2); SAP Database (HANA); SAP Archiving; SAP Security; SAP Hana Cloud platform.
HANA Performance Tuning and Optimization; SAP Web Dispatcher \ Reverse proxy; SAP Screen Personas; SAP Upgrades and Migration.
Mobile \ Fiori Applications using tools such as Httpwatch, Fiddler and Browser tools Design and develop Disaster recovery site for SAP systems.
Expertise in integrating and operating a multiple stack environment (e.g. CRM, ECC, S4, Solution Manager) as well as deep expertise in performance analysis, remediation and tuning.
Specific Basis installation and administration with environments and tools including CRM, BOBJ, BODS, Solution Manager.
Experience with ticket solutions like Solution Manager Service Desk, ServiceNow.
Knowledge of the SAP Best Practices (All in One) client install process.
Experienced in managing the following platforms: Windows/SQL, Unix/DB2, Unix/Oracle.
Linux experience desired.
3+ full cycle implementations including: Scoping and Planning, Process Design, Configuration, Testing, Deployment, and Post Go-Live Support.
Duties involved system architecture design, project planning, and documentation.

Education:

B.S. in computer science or similar field or equivalent experience.

Work Experience:
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience.

Minimum 5 years of experience on managing integration and implementation projects.

5+ years of experience in SAP Basis on multiple SAP environments

2+ years of experience in Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases

Deep knowledge of SAP architecture specifically SAP NetWeaver, SAP Cloud; expert in administering BO, Lumira & HANA(DB) systems

Technical Skills:
(Certification, Licenses and Registration)

Any SAP certification is a plus

Strong knowledge and understanding of ITILv3.

Language / Communication Skills:
Excellent knowledge of English language

Excellent communication skills including strong verbal presentation skills.

Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audience and able to interact with all levels of the organization.

Exhibits self-motivation to perform to the highest standard of excellence.
