What are you going to do?

The planner will be responsible and accountable for all of the following:

  • Ensure that the vessels are planned to optimum capacity while taking into consideration the constraints of the Vessels and Ports.
  • Liaise with Master and Chief Officer with regards stowage related topics.
  • Manage and coordinate the booking figures from all Port Agents and communicate with the FNTE Area Ops Managers along with other stakeholders in Geneva when vessels are identified as having open or over capacity.
  • Follow up bookings proactively
  • Manage the accuracy of information via uploading the validated Final baplie files
  • Manage special cargo requirements
  • Handle COD requests and follow up with confirmation and liaise with COD team if additional restows or amendments are required.
  • Focus on keeping restow moves to a minimum where possible and report all reason accurately for further network analysis.
  • Manage any Partners allocations and follow up with final report to VSA department
  • Manage vessel performance against Proforma / Live Schedules
  • Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with the Vessel Captains, Chief Officers, Port Planning Dept, Liners, Port Captains and Agents, ensuring that lines of communication are clear.
  • Escalation of key reportable issues
  • Constant Cost analysis
  • Data reporting and Quality of said data
  • Compliance with IMO regulations
  • Monitoring of noncompliance or deviation by the vessels from an agreed instruction to be escalated to FNTE Efficiency for further suggestions/recommendation
  • Maintain Voyage Instructions for vessels against services under your responsibilities
Education level/Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the shipping industry
  • Minimum a Bachelor degree in Nautical science or equivalent by experience
  • English: Fluent
  • MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook): excellent knowledge
  • Knowledge of the planning tool CASP
