Equans is currently seeking a
Contract Manager for its offices in
Grimbergen.

Your responsibilities
- you will be involved in all contractual briefings, issues, risks, processes and procedures related to the engagement contract, the consortium agreement and the subcontracts by exchanging with other contract managers of Equans
- you develop close working relationships with the project management and purchasing teams (and sometimes in tendering processes)
- you maintain a positive business relationship with the client's contract management team by regularly communication and coordinating with them
- you engage with the client to resolve issues even before they arise
- you ensure that the project management staff is fully aware of their contractual obligations and the commercial impacts of their actions. In particular you conduct contract briefings, advise in responding to contractual queries, and assist proactively in the resolution of the issues
- you anticipate, monitor, manage and/or mitigate contractual risks
- you identify opportunities to enhance the performance of the project, and advice on the setting-up of contract management processes and tools
- you draft letters, reports, minutes, and you advice on the contractual implications of proposed changes and ensure that any contractual changes that result from change requests are drafted and approved by the client

What do you need?
- master degree in law, engineering, cost control, or economy
- solid experience in contract management
- knowledge of FIDIC and LOGIC model contracts as well as an experience in international (western Europe) context is a bonus (BE, NL, LUX, DE, FR)
- strong affinity with managing technical and financial aspects of projects
- hands-on mentality and are very business minded
- excellent analytical skills, written communication and synthesis capability is one of your strong points
- team player, yet you are able to work independently and duly manage your workload and priorities
- communicate easily and efficiently with your colleagues, clients and third parties
- fluent in English, Dutch and French, with a thorough knowledge of the legal vocabulary, knowledge of German is a bonus
