Project Management Officer

Position


Under the authority of the CTO Office Manager and in accordance with the guidelines of the Chief Technology Officer, the Project Management Officer (PMO) contributes to the demand management processes and manages the project portfolio within the scope of the Technology Department.


You will monitor projects (scope, costs, deadlines, milestones, progress, changes, risks), consolidate this information, analyze it and make recommendations to facilitate decision-making by the appropriate management bodies.


You will be responsible for the following areas:
Project management

  • You will monitor the execution of projects (planning, milestones, risks, budget, dependencies).
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of methods, tools and standards for project execution.
  • Work in coordination with the quality assurance expert to ensure the use of standard project management methods (inspired by the Prince II methodology and taking into account the software delivery life cycle).
  • Be responsible for the implementation of the Planview project management tool configurations required for proper reporting (project and portfolio);
  • Assist in the use of the reporting tools.
Portfolio management

  • You will contribute to the annual definition of the baseline portfolio and the quarterly reevaluation, focusing on projects with an IT component.
  • Oversee the standardization in the collection of request and submission of changes to existing projects ('change request') and ensure a good understanding and qualification with the involvement of the Technology Department stakeholders.
  • Facilitate arbitration and make recommendations to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and organizational priorities.
  • Be responsible for the development and monitoring of the Technology Department's capacity planning in collaboration with the resource managers and project leaders and ensure that business demand is matched with available and budgeted capacity ('supply').
  • Consolidate the contributions of the Technology Department management and share the results with the Strategy Office.
  • You will have a consolidated view on the milestones and dependencies of all projects in the portfolio within the Technology Department.
  • Produce the consolidated report for information to the stakeholders of the management bodies and make recommendations to facilitate decision making. Be proactive, clear and concise.
  • Prepare the governing bodies for the Technology Department's project portfolio.
  • Lead the realization of the benefits of the Technology Department's IT driven projects.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the portfolio management processes.

Profile
Professional training and certificates

  • You have a Master's degree or equivalent by experience.
  • You have a good command of French and Dutch, both spoken and written. And you have a good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.
  • Certification in Project Management (PMP, Prince II) is an asset.
  • Certification in Portfolio Management Office is an asset.

  • Solid experience in portfolio management, project execution and coaching of project managers.
  • Ability to take a holistic view of the company's project portfolio and to critically assess their contribution to the overall strategy.
  • Have a good overview of project management.
  • Be able to facilitate project meetings while being diplomatic with teams with different objectives.
