The European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA) is looking for a Public Affairs Advisor to support the public affairs team on regulatory developments relevant to the automobile industry.
Job description
Reporting to and working closely with ACEA's Public Affairs Director, this person will focus on:
- Monitoring policy and regulatory developments impacting the automobile industry
- Supporting the development of public affairs strategies and advocacy plans
- Drafting and updating of advocacy/ lobbying tools
- Progressively engaging with decision makers (events/ conferences/ bilateral meetings)
- Participating in and contributing to other activities as may be assigned by the public affairs team
- At least two years of experience in European public affairs
- A university degree (Master's preferred) in law, political science or economics; specific studies EU law/ politics is an advantage
- Good understanding of the EU decision making process and the Brussels bubble
- Outgoing personality, highly selfmotivated, with a capacity to easily adapt and connect with people and to develop networks
- Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills; good knowledge of other languages an asset
- Fast learner, autonomous, positive; good diplomatic skills
