**This role is both strategic and hands-on. You will have the entire responsibility of leading our
company to build its ¿recycling offer¿ as well as studying possibilities to improve
production.
Therefore, you will be in charge of
1. developing, implementing, and monitoring our ¿circular economy excellence
program¿ to develop a practical and economically feasible take-back and logistics
route for our surgical instruments. This project is aiming at closing the loop for a
strongly increasing material stream in the medical sector to minimize the use of
primary resources.

• Understand the third-party Asian production process and build the needed alliances to

eventually create our own European production site.
You will report directly to the Managing Director of the company and collaborate with our
20+ worldwide distributors and with the Supply chain and Sustainability teams of our UK
partner Rayner. You will also manage the relationship with our external service providers
(waste management companies, universities, etc.).
You are passionate about understanding a production process and creating new recycling
paths in industry and are an analytical thinker and initiative-taking doer who has a proven

What will you do?

• Build HASA ¿circular economy recycling offer¿ to allow clinics customers to have

their surgical instruments given a second life and Hasa to complete its circular

economy commitment:

• Study existing documentation and literature
• Build the appropriate circular economy and recycling partners
• Speak with existing think tanks and associations treating that matter
• Speak to Surgeons
• Having a CO2 balance study made comparing disposable with reusable

instruments

• Create the scientific white papers needed to convince the medical community
• Create Belgian task force to implement a first recycling experience in a

Belgian hospital

• Interact with international distributors and their customers (surgeons and

hospitals) to understand their needs and create the actions to support their
efforts in developing local recycling initiatives.

• Manage the relationship with our external teams (Consultants, waste

management companies, universities, etc.).

• Understand the third-party Asian production process and build the needed alliances

to eventually create our own European production site:

• Study existing documentation and literature
• Visit competition production sites and understand production process
• List manufacturing equipment and tools needed and KPI's for an efficient

production
