    Melexis is continuously expanding its reach in applications that require semiconductor solutions with high levels of integration, miniaturization, and value-add. As Product Manager - Electrical Protection (a high voltage deep trench Silicon MEMS passive RC component designed to snub switching overshoots) in the Current Sensors Business Unit - targeted for Automotive as well as Adjacent markets - you will drive both the technical and commercial adoption of a new technology brick that has advanced to a TRL (Technology Readiness Level) of 5 already and is poised to enter the last straight line to industrialization. The CRL (Commercial Readiness Level) will also be part of your focus.

    The role of the Marketing Engineer primarily consists of 3 pillars:
    First and foremost it is an application requirements role which is critical in an engineering company. Melexis is pivoting more strongly to HV (High Voltage) applications now - beyond current sensing - and entering the power module ecosystem & power electronics which requires a thorough knowledge of this domain. You'll be conveying this application (requirements) knowledge to our R&D team in a clear and concise way, and in a timely fashion.

    Second, there is the technical engineering role: our products need to be brought to the market, which requires the necessary establishment of setup and equipment to characterize our technology thoroughly but efficiently. This will require deep interaction with R&D to drive the product development forward and nail down the achieved performance. Afterward, it boils down to building demonstrators to convince customers that our technology will solve their (future) pains and create a high level of abstraction through simplification of the translation of application variables into a Melexis solution and Melexis product portfolio.

    Finally, you will have marketing responsibilities in product positioning and the development of strong collateral material in several media that enables the promotion of the products to our customers but also to our (extended) Sales department. Translating the USPs (Unique Selling Points) of our product into tangible and quantifiable value propositions to the customers, as well as driving the development in the direction of best technology & product fit, will be your responsibility as Marketing Engineer. This will result from consolidating the input from Sales & Marketing in the field, as well as your own customer visits and promotional activity where you will obtain firsthand VoC (Voice of Customer) information. Both existing accounts as well as newly developed contacts that can come from your past experience and market knowledge will feed into this VoM (Voice of Market) consolidation. Demonstrating your technical subject matter expertise in front of the decision makers - both internally & externally to Melexis - will bring the legitimacy we need to break open this untapped market segment.

  • You hold a master's degree in physics and/or engineering (or any of the STEM fields) and bring a strong technical background
  • You have a thorough understanding of the power module market and the segmentation thereof
  • You have transistor-level knowledge in electronics, with a deeper understanding of power electronics
  • You are open to traveling
  • You are motivated by tackling problems and thrive on turning them into solutions serving the best interest of the product line and Melexis as a whole
  • You take pride in doing things right: you want to get to the bottom of things and not leave stones unturned, making informed decisions and closing projects properly and in a timely fashion

  • Being familiar with magnetic sensing is a plus, the same goes for project management
