Your Profile:

  • You have a European EEA citizenship (not requiring a visum to work in Belgium). You must be a student for the entire duration of the internship.
  • You have an education as data analyst. You are pursuing your master in information science or in mechanical engineering or similar.
  • You have the ability to make sense of complexity and present compelling datadriven stories and solutions that resonate with stakeholders.
  • You feel confident with coding in Python and can demonstrate your past (Prediction
  • Regression and Classification) experience.
  • You are able to summarize and explain complex information in a clear and visual way.
  • You have a good command in English language and are eager to work in a multicultural and diverse environment.
  • Interest in cars and new mobility solutions is a plus.

Your team and your responsibilities:


TME R&D centre is responsible for planning, development and production support of vehicles aimed at - and locally produced for - the European market.


The Vehicle Comfort team is part of the Vehicle Performance Engineering division (VPE) and is responsible for the development of the vehicle NVH (Noise, Vibration and harshness), driveability and thermal comfort.

We aim at the development of attractive and "fun to drive" cars matching European market requirements and customer expectations.

Using state-of-the art experimental and numerical methods, we develop strategies to achieve the targets, and validate them on virtual and physical prototypes.


Your project:


Maximising a BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle) driving range is very important in improving the acceptance of BEV vehicles in the European market and in avoiding customers' range anxiety.

One of the aspects which has an impact on the BEV driving range is the driver's driving behaviour.


This project will give us the opportunity to have a better understanding of real customer vehicle usage and its impact on EV range, and help us to maximise our vehicles' EV range and as such contribute to our sustainability commitments.

**We can only accept students with an EEA or Swiss citizenship (not requiring a work permit or visa to be eligible to perform an internship in Belgium)
