Are you the skilled and efficient planner we are looking for ? Join our site in Mechelen as Transport Planner

Your Role :As a planner, you are responsible for organizing transports by choosing the most economic and adequate solution, respecting our customers' requirements and the quality standards of Kuehne+Nagel. Either utilizing our extensive own fleet or reliable subcontractors.

Your Responsibilities:


  • Transport planning of our drivers and trucks in the most efficient way
  • Support driver in preparation all documents for deliveries
  • Be the first contact point for our drivers and codrivers
  • Be the single point of contact for customers, and transport operations, and respond to the customer's inquiries and intervening parties
  • Monitoring of driver / round trips and intervene where needed to respect the customers' requirements
  • Controlling time & attendance of our drivers and codrivers
  • Responsibility for the planning tool: updating data and reporting
  • Responsibility for the fleet management and capacity workforce
  • Contribute to optimization of our planning tool and improve processes and workflows

Your Skills and Experiences:


  • You have logistics related studies or equivalent through experience
  • You have at least 3 years of experience in planning function
  • Experience with regional distribution, route planning system and a WMS are a must
  • Advanced MS office skills, experience with building reporting tools is a plus
  • You are fluent in Dutch and French, English is a plus
  • Patient and pragmatic way of working and ability to think analytically and systematically;
  • Proactive and practical solution oriented working style
