Context of the role


Ecf growth and rapid transformation requires effective and efficient digital solutions for the different functional domains of the organization - Strategy, Finance, Grantmaking, HR & Staff support, Strategic Communications, etc.

Ecf's IT team is enabling and driving the digital transformation of various processes and business functions to support the rapid growth of the Foundation.

Ecf has decided to reinforce its transformation capabilities and its capacity to clarify business needs and translate them into realistic digital roadmaps and implementation projects.

About the role


As IT Manager - Business Applications you are responsible for the operations and the continuous improvement for all business systems and integrations.

You evaluate, design, and implement new systems and integrations.


You have the ability to map business requirements to technology solutions, to create or evaluate technical design, to create technical project plans, and mitigate risks.

You lead the technical project execution from design through test and delivery with an emphasis on systems configuration, user experience and adoption.

Key responsibilities


Applications management:

Lead the design, the implementation, the testing, and the improvement of systems and integrations, with a specific attention on user experience and business value


Provide technical analysis for system selection: benchmarks, performance, fit-gap, integrations, risk, build vs. buy, etc.


Technical project delivery:

Create the overall solution design, or evaluate proposed technical design by external providers
Define technical requirements and identify constraints and limitations
Support value-driven backlog prioritisation by estimating efforts/costs for technical activities
Monitor risks related to the technical solution
Plan and supervise technical projects with internal or external resources (service providers, integrators, vendors, consultants, partners, etc.)


Strategy, Change, and Learning:

Provide input for the formulation of the IT Strategy, objectives, and budgets
Translates the IT Strategic goals into roadmap and action plan (backlog), supports the prioritization and the implementation process
Formulate lessons learned and use them as a leverage for future projects


Requirements:

University degree in technical field, Computer Science or Engineering

At least 7 years of relevant professional experience (software development, IS implementation, cloud integrations, data engineering, business analysis, project delivery, etc.).

Experience with cloud technologies and integrations (API management), and excellent understanding of cloud ecosystems is required
Experience with Microsoft Graph APIs, Office365, and Azure cloud services is an advantage.
Experience in dynamic and rapidly changing environment within various contexts (enterprise, non-profit, and/or technology start-up), is an asset
Good understanding of Agile principles and Lean IT practices
Good active listening and communication skills
Written and verbal communications in English, another European language is an asset
Passionate about climate action with a genuine interest in the mission and values of the Ecf

Other Ecf locations (within +/- 3 hours of Central European Time) can be considered in case of the right profile.

Some travel may be required as and when possible.
