About the role

  • As a Regional Solid Planner you will plan the European Production of the solid chocolate, in close collaboration with the local production planners. You will also allocate demand to factories, subcontractors & intercompany plants on a 4 months horizon. Furthermore you will run supply scenarios and take decisions to maximize service and cost. As Regional Planner, communication is key, as you will; mobilize sales VPs for prioritization, steer the factory towards adherence to the plan, and monitor factory performance.
    Key Responsibilities include
  • Own and Deliver The Operational Plan
  • Own and deliver an internal production plan in active horizon across sites with optimal use of network, asset utilization, Stock levels and customer satisfaction (817 weeks horizon).
  • Own and deliver an external supply plan from the Subcontractors & Intercompany suppliers, to ensure optimal stock levels and customer satisfaction (017 week's horizon).
  • Ensure the operational plan meets inventory targets and stock build ambitions.
  • When issue can't be solved locally within the plant, propose mitigation actions; bring unsolvable issues to the relevant decision forum (as part of S&OE).
  • Ensure the operational plan is in line with tactical guidance: shift regimes, volume allocation between sites, transfers and investment rampup.
  • Drive regular reviews with reactive planners and operations (i.e. local teams) on planning parameters to model capacity; OEEs, rates, calendars and maintenance plans.
  • Communicate & agree the Production Plans & Supply plans with the assigned stakeholders (SC Managers

  • Subcontractors ).
  • Manage phase in & phase out of SKUs in the operational horizon.
  • Manage all relevant master data needed for an accurate operational plan.
  • Collaborate as Supply Chain representative in the assigned projects relating the responsible plants or subcontractors (such as new production lines, new product implementations ).
  • Setup and report the necessary KPI's related to the Operational planning horizon.
  • Ensure and coordinate raw materials availability to subcontractors.
***- Drive S&OE weekly Cycle- Drive S&OE weekly cycle, strongly engaging and involving Supply, Demand, Sales, Finance & all other departments in the process and meetings; Ensure E2E awareness and adherence to weekly cycle.

  • Manage Gaps and balance S&D; workout Gap closing proposals and ensure timely communication and escalation to relevant stakeholders.
  • Solve S&D operational gaps by prioritizing demand with Sales VPs and sales Directors.
  • Solve S&D operational gaps by engaging OSCO directors in adapting factory shifts.
  • Ensure execution of resulting actions agreed during the S&OE meetings.
  • Monitor output of factories (adherence to plan), and challenge SC managers and Plant managers accordingly.
  • Support the implementation/execution of NPI projects and transfers.
  • Drive continuous improvement on S&OE process with local teams.


  • Drive Continuous Improvement

  • Drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement on the endtoend supply planning process, identify projects, participate in the selection and coordinate/perform execution.

About you

  • You have experience in Supply Chain Planning.

During your experience, you gained insight in:
capacity / production planning including finite and infinite, creation of supply scenarios, etc.

  • Throughout your previous experience you have understanding of other supply planning processes (such as: distribution requirements planning, raw materials planning and scheduling).
  • You have at least 2 years of experience in Production Planning.
  • Experience in an international environment is a plus.
  • Experience with ERPsystem(s) is necessary. Knowledge and experience in SAP is an advantage.
  • You are fluent in English, knowledge of any other local languages is an asset.
  • You have knowledge of planning and reporting systems (such as: SAP, APO, OMP, BW, BI etc.).
