Our client is a financial institution that seeks to support the private sector in developing countries by making investments in local companies.

As Investment Officer, you will evaluate, structure and negotiate loan and equity investments in financial institutions, businesses and infrastructure in developing markets (Africa, Asia, Latin America) in line with the company's strategy.

You will also help monitor portfolio investments, working with a motivated team in a friendly atmosphere.

Our client is looking for someone with an excellent knowledge of financial transactions and instruments, as well as a good command of French, English and Spanish.

Description

Identify and evaluate investment opportunities in line with the company's strategy, using economic, financial, social and environmental parameters;
Conduct onsite evaluation missions;
Prepare detailed evaluation reports and present investment recommendations to our client's management and investment committee;
Define and negotiate investment conditions;
Organize the preparation of legal documents, in coordination with internal and external partners;
Monitor a portfolio of investments in the region identify problems, if any, and find solutions;
Promote and strengthen our client's role in the region, continually improving relations with local companies and potential partners;
Establish and manage a customer base, through indepth understanding of target countries, relationship building and active prospecting.

Profile

Higher education in Business Administration, Economics or Finance;
3 to 5 years' relevant professional experience in corporate finance or corporate banking, credit analysis in a bank, investment company or audit firm;
Analytical and critical mind, organized, meticulous and autonomous;
Selfstarter, quick learner and resultsoriented;
Strong networking, negotiation and communication skills (oral and written);
Strong team spirit;
Fluency in French and English is mandatory, Spanish is an asset;
Strong affinity with impact investing and developing markets first experience in the region is an asset;
Willingness to travel: ± 15% of time.
