Now, the fabled Grand Hotel Astoria will re-emerge as Corinthia Brussels later in 2024, a beacon of elegance and luxury in the heart of the Belgian capital.

Following a meticulous restoration, Corinthia Brussels will marry the classical elegance of its storied past with sophisticated modern facilities including 126 rooms and suites, a gastronomic restaurant and brasserie, and 1000 square metres of wellness.

As a Cost Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of cost control within the hotel, ensuring that financial resources are utilized efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement cost control procedures and policies to optimize financial performance.
Monitor and analyze operational expenses, including food and beverage costs, payroll, utilities, and other operating expenses.
Review and approve purchase orders, invoices, and vendor contracts to ensure accuracy and compliance with budgetary guidelines.
Conduct regular audits and inventory checks to identify discrepancies and areas for improvement.
Collaborate with department heads and management to identify costsaving opportunities and implement strategies to reduce expenses without compromising quality or service standards.
Prepare regular reports and financial statements detailing budget variances, cost trends, and recommendations for corrective action.
Coordinate with the finance department to reconcile accounts, track expenditures, and maintain accurate financial records.
Stay uptodate on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory requirements related to cost control and financial management.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proven experience in cost control, financial analysis, or a similar role within the hospitality industry.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and make datadriven recommendations.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams.
Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all aspects of work.
