Now, the fabled Grand Hotel Astoria will re-emerge as Corinthia Brussels later in 2024, a beacon of elegance and luxury in the heart of the Belgian capital.

As a Cost Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of cost control within the hotel, ensuring that financial resources are utilized efficiently and effectively.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement cost control procedures and policies to optimize financial performance.
  • Monitor and analyze operational expenses, including food and beverage costs, payroll, utilities, and other operating expenses.
  • Review and approve purchase orders, invoices, and vendor contracts to ensure accuracy and compliance with budgetary guidelines.
  • Conduct regular audits and inventory checks to identify discrepancies and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with department heads and management to identify costsaving opportunities and implement strategies to reduce expenses without compromising quality or service standards.
  • Prepare regular reports and financial statements detailing budget variances, cost trends, and recommendations for corrective action.
  • Coordinate with the finance department to reconcile accounts, track expenditures, and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Stay uptodate on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory requirements related to cost control and financial management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in cost control, financial analysis, or a similar role within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and make datadriven recommendations.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all aspects of work.
