Context:


Global Energy Market & Sales (GEMS) is one of the Business Divisions of
ENGIE group, with approximately 400 people (Sales, Trader, Risks, dedicated support functions : Back-Office, Middle Office & IT).


GEMS is active in energy market (financial and physical commodity trading ) and provide following service to the group and external counterparties:

  • Energy price hedging

Business Platform Short-Term Power as a Service (a.k.a.
-
BP SpaaS) is responsible for the optimization of the Group's assets in Europe: purchase contracts, physical assets & sales contracts. Its role is to ensure competitive energy for our customers while maximizing the value created, in a context of controlled risks.

Within the
Expertise Center Information System (a.k.a. EC IS),
SpaaS IS delivers added-value solution towards the
SpaaS business-customers.


Role:


The main role of the
Project Manager is to ensure the project teams deliver regular consistent IS software increments on energy businesses** consisting in bug fixes, enhancement on existing functions or new functionalities (small projects and/or new deal management functions).

He is also the local point of contact of the users, representing the team.


This role is fulfilled with particular attention and expectation on
robustness (technical and functional),
quality of the delivered software,
maintainability
and
performance of the delivered software.



Key missions:


  • Listening carefully to the clients' needs to identify and develop new opportunities;
  • Conducting business analysis and research to identify key metrics and opportunities for improvement;
  • Build a collective ambition for your projects with all stakeholders;
  • Create project plans, execute them and modify them when necessary to take into account changing needs and requirements;
  • Identify the necessary resources (internal collaborators, subcontractors, suppliers, etc.) and assign responsibilities;
  • Take the "technical" lead and encourage developers to look for new solutions;
  • Manage the daytoday operational aspects of the project;
  • Report the progress of the project to all stakeholders.

Budget management:


  • Prepare annual team budget (KIR, MNT, Projects forecast) ;
  • Review actuals in line with budget on a monthly basis ;
  • Upward & downward communication on budget deviations.

Demand & project management:


  • Put in place a team backlog, prioritized according to client needs, manage relationship with other IT teams and external clients
    (business and support functions), communicate status ;
  • Define suitable project organization, communication, functional and technical architecture proposal.

Infrastructure & Platform management:


  • Making the necessary evolutions to answer business requirements ;
  • Incident coordination ;
  • Tackle technical debt.

Travels:

Occasionally travel to Paris or other european countries.

Hard skills:


  • Agile organization and related rituals ;
  • Proven experience in one or more project management methodologies. (PRINCE2, PMBOK, etc.) ;
  • Leading meetings with various stakeholders from various business with different interests ;
  • You are able to adapt communication to the level of knowledge of the attendees ;
