Your team and your responsibilities:

Team/division description

The UX-DS team has the mission to enable early, agile & accurate human-centric dynamic performance targets for better mobility solutions.

Our scope encompasses simulation and Driving Simulator technologies for dynamic user experience and vehicle performance development across R&D.

Your project
Our team is expanding virtual scenario development capabilities for the areas of vehicle dynamics and ADAS/Autonomous Driving (AD).

The goal of this internship is to develop virtual scenarios with dynamic objects that can be scalable and modular for AD / ADAS / UX testing and validation.

The final output should include a well-interfaced scenario library for each software tool (CARLA /Unreal, rFpro, carmaker, esmini,) for smooth integration across use cases and simulator platforms.

Remark:
The work can have a rather artistic or a system integration scope depending on your capabilities / preferences.

Main project milestones include:

Create a proofofconcept of a realistic and immersive urban scenario, rendering with different engines.
Prepare the necessary plugins to connect APIs to our vehicle physics models, traffic conditions and virtual sensors.
Benchmark different static and dynamic scenario definition standards available in the team and created by you.
Subjective evaluation of the proposed solutions in TME's Driving Simulator.

Your Profile:

You are fluent in English (TME's business language)
You are Master student of Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
You have a strong interest in computer graphics and terrain modelling. Ideally, you have (some) experience with modelling tools such as Blender, Maya, 3D Studio, or rending engines such as Unreal Engine.
You have already demonstrated programming skills in past projects in MATLAB/Simulink and Python. Other programming languages will be considered an asset
