About Calqi:

Calqi is a fast-growing construction tech startup based in Antwerp disrupting the tendering process in the construction industry. We provide an innovative web platform to make bidding and tendering more efficient and transparent. Beyond tendering, we have big plans to reshape the full digital workflow for construction workers, architects, and homeowners. Our vision is to optimize and connect every step of the construction process through our platform.

Due to rapid expansion, we are looking for a talented Frontend Developer to join our ambitious team.

As our new Frontend Developer, you will take ownership over building, and enhancing our web app UI using React and other modern JavaScript technologies.

At Calqi, we will soon be incorporating AI capabilities into our platform including natural language processing to extract insights from construction documents.

As one of our developers, you will play an integral role in implementing these innovations into our products. Calqi presents a unique opportunity to be on the forefront of leveraging AI in the construction industry.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain frontend components of our web platform using
• Implement responsive UI designs compatible across devices
• Integrate web services into the frontend
• Work closely with product managers and backend developers
• Write clean, performant, and welltested code
• Contribute ideas to improve overall user experience

Requirements:

• 2+ years experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• Proficiency with and building Single Page Applications
• Familiarity with REST APIs
• Knowledge of responsive design
• Ability to learn and pickup new tech quickly
• Passion for building intuitive web interfaces
• Proficient in English, Dutch is a plus

Nice to have

• Experience with TypeScript
• Knowledge of web standards and accessibility
• Familiarity with state management
• Unit testing experience
