Function

As a High Voltage (HV) Designer, you are responsible for the design of the HV installations.

You draw up the plans and documents during the preliminary design and study phase for the realisation of new HV installations, and the adjustment, expansion or replacement of existing HV installations.

This function primarily encompasses the following tasks:
preparing preliminary designs in cooperation with the Project Leader;
compiling the safety file and submitting it for inspection to the safety officer

drawing up implementing plans (site plans, equipment plans, steel construction plans, etc.);
drawing up the associated plan lists, lists of steel constructions, lists of connections, etc.;
checking the coherence of the manufacturer's files and comparing them with the own HV study; monitoring the coherence of the own HV study with the related studies CW, LA&S and SecSys

ad hoc support of the Project Leader during the execution works.

The design of the installations is based on the existing harmonisation and takes into account the applicable ergonomic and safety rules.

The design is done in 3D using MicroStation and Bentley Substation as design tools.

In the design, you also integrate the needs of adjacent disciplines such as Powerlinks for the line and cable arrivals in the substation in question, engineering for the building section, foundations and site layout aspects, etc.

Your Profile

You have a bachelor's degree or secondary education diploma (A2) in electrical engineering, electromechanics, mechanics or engineering or have equivalent experience.

You have a perfect knowledge of Dutch or French and are prepared to learn the other national language.

Knowledge of or experience with 3D CAD software is an asset

You are eager to learn a profession and to eventually become an expert in your field.

You can plan and organise well, you have an eye for detail and you have a strong sense of responsibility.

You are creative, you consider team spirit important, you care about quality and you are punctual.

You are a fluent assertive communicator with a customer-oriented approach.
