Looking for a job in an energetic tax environment?

We are seeking a motivated junior tax expert to be part of our tax team.

As junior tax expert, you will work on interesting topics such as corporate tax, VAT, transfer pricing and local taxes.

You will have the opportunity to interact with stakeholders within the whole finance department (controlling, accounting, ) and learn how a company internally functions.

You will work on topics such as (not exhaustive list):

Periodic corporate tax and VAT compliance;
M&A tax due diligence;
R&D related tax incentives (investment, income innovation deduction, etc.);
Assistance in case of tax audits;
Guide to the business and other finance team members on tax related topics.

Your responsibilities:

Assist in the analyzing of the tax aspects of the activities and investments of the Luminus group in terms of corporate tax, energy taxes, local taxes, etc. (M&A including);
Support the Tax manager in tax audits in Belgium and report to the Tax Director;
Assist in the preparation of the corporate tax and VAT compliance on a monthly basis;
Identify, research, and assess tax issues in the daily activities of the Luminus Group;
Help the Tax manager in any efficiency improvements in reporting, compliance and other tax related topics or questions;
Autonomous in organizing your work with the support of the Tax manager where needed.
Connect and exchange fluently with other Finance staff and business departments and support the Luminus finance team or other business teams in its role as a business partner;
Provide the Tax manager with updates on tax technical regulation evolutions;
A master in law or economics (additional degree in tax is a plus) or 12 years of experience in tax area;
You have good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
Eager to learn about all tax aspects, highly motivated and ability to thrive in a fastpaced, collaborative and crossfunctional environment.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong interpersonal skills and are fluent in Dutch or French and master English as a business language.
Have an interest for the energy business.
