    Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Site Reliability Engineer like yourself to join our dynamic team. In this crucial role, you will drive operational excellence, directly contributing to our mission of providing safe and efficient aviation services. The perfect candidate will be deeply involved in the modern ecosystem, possess a solid background in various technologies, and have a proven track record in high-stakes industries.

    In the Role of the Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will:

    • Be part of a dynamic team responsible for operating and maintaining critical applications.
    • Work with cutting-edge cloud-native technologies both in the cloud and on-premises.
    • Detect, identify, and analyze faults when they occur, assist in resolving them, and devise solutions to prevent future incidents.
    • Monitor system performance, proactively identify and resolve issues.
    • Perform root cause analysis for production errors and implement preventive measures.
    • Collaborate with development teams to incorporate SRE best practices into the software lifecycle.
    • Continuously enhance service availability, scalability, performance, monitoring, and manageability.
    • Engage in collaborative work with security experts, architects, and developers to build and enhance a robust technical landscape.
    • Constantly research and evaluate new approaches for potential adoption, offering recommendations and subject matter expertise on trends, technology, tools, and services.
    • Take part in an on-call rotation, providing support for critical issues.
    • Contribute to all aspects of Site Reliability Engineering as a team player.

    Qualifications:

    • A relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in computer science or a related field.
    • Strong understanding and experience in SRE and Platform Engineering principles and frameworks.
    • Advanced expertise in automation, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD (Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins).
    • Profound experience in Kubernetes (OpenShift) and Linux system administration (RedHat).
    • Advanced experience in operating and automating solutions with at least three of the following technologies/Products:
      • Observability (OpenTelemetry, Elastic stack, Prometheus, Jaeger)
      • Cloud services (Azure)
      • Document database (MongoDB)
      • Relational Database Management Systems (PostgreSQL)
      • Messaging system (Solace)
      • Event Streaming (Kafka)
      • IAM (Okta)
      • Secret management (Hashicorp Vault)
    • Good grasp of security principles.
    • Experience in application development is a plus.
    • Ability to quickly grasp and apply knowledge of new methodologies and solutions.
    • Strong ethics and high confidentiality standards.
    • Excellent communication skills, proficient in English both written and verbal.
    • Capable of collaborative teamwork and effective communication.
    • EU citizenship and willingness to reside in or around Brussels.
