DPAM has a strong focus on research with a proprietary in-house fundamental and quantitative analyst team, supporting the firm's asset management activities.

DPAM manages investment funds as well as discretionary mandates on behalf of institutional clients, for a total amount of about € 36 billion, as of end of June 2019.

To support the strong growth of Degroof Petercam Asset Management, we are looking for a f/m


Context:

In order to reinforce our Fund Legal Life team within our firm Degroof Petercam Asset Management (DPAM) located in Brussels, we are currently looking for a M/F Legal Officer


Your Position:


  • Organize and follow the daily legal and administrative management of the Belgian investment funds promoted by DPAM (a.o. organization of Board of Directors and General shareholders meetings of the funds, update of legal documentation relating to the funds (prospectus and PCD, articles of association, PRIIP's/KID, notices to shareholders, etc )
  • Supervise and follow the production of the periodical reports /SFDR reports (annual and semiannual) of the funds
  • Update or review contracts, specific documents with services providers having signed an agreement with the Funds or DPAM
  • Introduce files regarding the funds with the regulatory authorities (FSMA), contact the FSMA, notary public, and contact other services providers with which the funds (or DPAM) has an agreement
  • Ensure relationship with internal partners
  • Use, maintain and update platforms and specific IT tools necessary for the Fund Legal Life department (production PRIIP's/KID SFDR PCD, SFDRPRD)
  • Development and implementation of different projects related to launching, liquidation, restructuration of the Belgian investment funds
  • Support the panEuropean distribution of Belgian investment funds including registration of the funds with our external services providers
  • Monitor the regulatory and legislative evolution with a focus on investment funds
  • Take part at the Belgian Asset Management Association (BEAMA) Legal workgroup and in internal legal meetings and training sessions related to the industry of the funds
  • Work in cooperation with the Legal Team of DPAM and with other departments that have a relation with the funds

Your Profile:


  • Belgian Master in law;
  • First experience (1 to 3 years) as a legal officer in an investment funds/company law environment is a plus, (lawyer office, notary office, consultant company or in a similar position).
  • Good knowledge of French (principal working language) Dutch, and English
  • Highly precise, organized and administrative oriented, able to work in a changing environment
  • IT minded (Word, Excel, using platforms dedicated to the management of the funds)
  • Able to work autonomously and to build up good interpersonal relationship and like to work in close partnership with the people in the business
