The Role:


As an Engineering Manager, you will lead a dynamic, cross-functional squad of five talented developers and QA engineers, both remote and in-office.

Your team is currently focused on the exciting Smart Audit functionality, an innovative AI-powered system that will play a key role in our expense management platform.

You will oversee the delivery of end-to-end, scalable solutions using.
NET and C#, managing the software development life cycle, and contributing to the strategic vision for the squad's domains. This is a fantastic opportunity to be at the forefront of cutting-edge technology in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.


No prior experience in an engineering management role is required, as we offer coaching and support to grow into this position.


Responsibilities:


  • Work with the engineering team to design and deliver solutions in a microservice environment, ensuring best practices.
  • Collaborate with the product manager to prioritize features that align with business goals.
  • Oversee and participate in code reviews, ensuring quality and adherence to standards.
  • Engage in handson programming regularly to stay current and contribute to the team's technical work.
  • Remove organizational obstacles and foster communication with other teams to streamline delivery.
  • Experiment with Agile methodologies to refine the development process iteratively.
  • Mentor team members, cultivate growth, and build a culture of continuous learning.

Requirements:


  • Strong knowledge of.
NET, C#, and design patterns.

  • Familiarity with Service-Oriented Architecture, microservices, synchronous and asynchronous communication patterns.
  • Ability to maintain a longterm vision while delivering value iteratively by addressing real customer needs at each step.
  • Understanding of Agile principles, emphasizing pragmatic problemsolving and continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with Scrum or Kanban frameworks, as well as Domaindriven Design approach, is a plus but not required.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
