Senior Business Controller

Objective of the role?

The Business Controller performs financial analysis and controls.

Perform, prepare, and support in, the provision of financial reports, analyses and forecasts, such as periodic forecasts with the aim of providing insight into organisational processes and associated cost structures.

What will you be doing in the role of Business Controller

  • Preparation of monthly operational reports to the management team
  • Variance analyses: analysing the actuals vs. budget/forecast for operational costs
  • Financial support on operational projects (business cases, translating operational needs to financially sound plans)
  • Big data analyses to achieve process optimizations and support management decisions
  • Lead in the operational budget and forecasting processes
  • Adhoc preparation of analyses and presentations Together with the controlling team, you will search for different ways to optimize the various reporting processes thus increasing efficiency

What do we need from you?

  • Dynamic person with a Master's degree in an economic field with >5 years of experience
  • Process
- and solution oriented, focus on continuous improvement

  • Strong communication skills and persuasiveness.
  • Ability to turn complicated operational processes in financial models
  • Being able to execute precise operational decisions into action
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office (mainly Excel and PPT)
  • Professional communication in English is a must, Dutch/French are a plus
  • Being able to work independently
