About the role:


As our
Auditing Chapter Lead at amfori, you will develop and manage operational support to amfori's contracted auditing firms, scheme managers and auditors in order to provide members with the possibility to conduct the due diligence for their supply chain and generate value for amfori.

Develop and implement audit quality and integrity assurance.


Responsibilities:

Core duties

  • Building relationships with monitoring partners to ensure delivery of audits due to amfori quality standards and procedures, ensure that the contracted auditing partners deliver audits properly in order to offer quality services to members
  • Work with auditing partners to increase global coverage and build capacity in order to offer more coverage for members and generate more revenue for amfori
  • Oversight of auditor management, including auditor acceptance, qualification, training & CPD
  • Continuous improvement of Audit methodology with a crossfunctional team
  • Manage and supervise the Audit Quality & Integrity activities
  • Complete investigations into allegations of unethical behaviour and poor standards
  • Assure quality and conformity of the auditing processes and the auditors in order to better monitor risks
  • Handle grievance related to audit aspects in order to ensure compliance and maintain healthy relationships
  • Control the monthly invoicing cycle in order to collect the amounts due
  • Ensure efficient delivery processes (internally and externally)
  • Accompany, motivate and train employees in order to improve their performance and contribute to their development
Support duties

  • Ensure annual calibrations to meet requirements and define the topics to implement
  • Ensure the delivery of local and regional calibration meetings, and auditing project groups
  • Support amfori members with technical guidance on audits
  • Ensure amfori publications are relevant and up to date
  • Make sure tools are in place and work properly to ensure smooth handling of files
  • Support the amfori wider network
  • Support the development and delivery of training to auditors/scheme managers
  • Noncomplex data analysis

Challenges:


  • The Auditing Chapter Lead has a crossdepartmental expertise for operations and member support
  • The Auditing Chapter Lead is expected to maintain up to date knowledge of relevant issues, trends and publications

About you:

Key Qualifications

  • Strong stakeholder management and decision making skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience conducting and reviewing ethics investigations
  • Can demonstrate experience making, justifying and implementing difficult decisions
  • Master's degree in social studies, political science, international relations, labour or human rights law or related fields
  • At least 58 year of working experience in supply chain sustainability consultancies, sustainability schemes or certification (e.g. SMETA, SA8000, UTZ),
  • Working knowledge of international sustainability regulations and business initiative (amongst other UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights; ILO's Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work), and international organizations active in social and environmental sustainability
  • Understanding of audit quality and integrity processes and experience completing investigations
  • Great intercultural communicator, understands and respects cultural sensitivities
  • Near native level English, other languages a plus
  • Experience in interpreting legal requirements for auditing and remediation purposes
  • Customer and quality oriented
  • Strong international programme and project management skills
  • Able to prioritise and work under short deadlines
  • Able to work with a wide range of stakeholders (members, services providers, experts,)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
