The customer relations department is the link between the plant, the commercial organization and the customer. It translates customer requirements into production data.

The department strives for higher service levels in the various market segments through direct customer contact, reliable and shorter delivery times and "just in time" deliveries when desired.


What does this job involve?

Job description

  • You will participate to the maintenance and future developments of our
    existing reporting solution (Mainframe / Excel reports):
  • You will understand and learn about the complexity of data integration implemented solutions
  • You will become a technical reference to both Management, business users and our internal data analysts
  • As a Project Manager, you will be accountable for the delivery of transitioning to a
    new reporting platform which will include:
  • collaborate with business customers and our data analysts to understand the supply chain processes & the reporting needs within our department
  • Work with the data architects (from our IT department) to work out innovative reporting solutions
- define the supply chain Belgium strategy for this new reporting platform and the use of PowerBI (data sets, branding, responsibilities etc.), with support of our IT colleagues
- work with our internal data analysts to support them in their transition from the old to the new platform

  • You will also
    support the requests for new reports linked to various supply chain projects for which you will closely work together with our internal data analysts

This includes:

  • Support the data analysts in the creation of new reports
  • Support the data analysts in the recreation of reports due to system changes (from Mainframe/Excel to SQL/PowerBI)
  • Understand what's behind the different business reporting requests such that you can set the correct priorities
  • Finally, offer 2 nd line support on issues linked to (operational) reports & Microsoft power suite flows.

Key responsibilities

  • Learn about the current reporting solution.
  • Contribute across all phases of the project to deliver the new reporting and business decision solution.
  • Partner with business people and data architects to ensure consistent, positive customer interaction and solution delivery.
  • Identify, analyze & prioritize business teams reporting requirements.
  • Specify and design the requirements for IT and IMR developments.
  • Test, deploy and maintain a sustainable, highperformance dataprocessing and data integration reporting solution.
  • Support our IMR data analysts in the current reporting solution and guide them in learning the new technologies linked to the new reporting solution (SQL / PowerBI).
  • Support the business users into using the new platform, in cooperation with our internal data analysts.
  • Contribute to optimizing our workflow processes via Microsoft power suite.
  • Master's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics, or a related discipline (or similar by experience).
  • Strong analytical skills to understand complex data challenges and propose effective solutions.
  • Effective time management, ability to clearly identify priorities and manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills to discuss and understand the needs of both the business team and IT and to be able to present technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Proficiency in SQL for querying databases to extract and transform data into efficient datamodels for Power BI reporting.
  • Project management skills to plan and execute the transition from the current to the future data and reporting landscape is a plus.
  • Knowledge of/interest in Microsoft Power Suite is a plus.
