Hydrogen Europe is looking for a Business Development (senior) Officer preferably based in Brussels, Belgium (full time).


About Hydrogen Europe:


Hydrogen Europe is the European association representing the interest of the hydrogen and fuel cell industry and its stakeholders and promoting hydrogen as an enabler of a zero-emission society.

With more than 500 members, including 25+ EU regions and 30+ national associations, our association encompasses the entire value chain of the European Hydrogen and fuel cell ecosystem.

Our vision is to propel global carbon neutrality by accelerating European hydrogen industry.


Main responsibilities:


Membership and sponsorship acquisition:

  • Generate leads and cold call prospective members;
  • Research and identify new business opportunities including new markets, growth areas, trends, partnerships
- or new ways of reaching existing markets;

  • Seek ways of improving the way association operates and create other than membership revenue income streams (such as: event sponsorship and registration, reports, ads etc);
  • Sell our Flagship event services (H2 week) to members and nonmembers.

Existing members:

  • Support the Member Relations Senior Officer to foster and develop relationships, increase value of membership services;
Other Activities

  • Carry out sales forecasts and analysis;
  • Develop the business sales and marketing strategy and create membership and sponsorship, recruitment materials, appeal letters, brochures, etc.
  • Attend seminars, conferences and events where appropriate;
  • Assist and support the Operations team.

Requirements:


  • At least 58 years sales experience, preferably with B2B;
  • Excellent knowledge of sales, marketing and customer service;
  • Able to read and understand financial reports;
  • Fluency in English. Knowledge of other European languages an asset;
  • Selfstarter, team player, cando attitude, responsible and accountable.

  • Excellent knowledge of marketing and customer service;
  • Skilled at writing promotional materials, membership materials;
  • Capability to work within and across teams while inspiring and facilitating action;
  • Articulate and comfortable picking up the phone and calling people to track down information, following up on memberships, and responding to inquiries;
  • Knowledge and capability with Microsoft Office;
  • Previous experience with any CRM is preferred;
  • Ability to respond to high volumes of work from various sources, to prioritize and meet deadlines;
  • Extremely wellorganized, goaloriented and very high attention to detail;
  • Comfortable working independently and remotely;
  • Able to manage a small team.
