At Uni Systems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality.

We are continuously growing and we are looking for a Business Analyst to join our UniQue Brussels team at European Commission.

What will you bring to the team?

Provide expertise for the IT strategy and the IS business architecture
Elaborate of functional and nonfunctional requirements and business case analysis
Perform business process analysis and business process modelling
Draft and review use cases
Followup of tasks and provide quality assurance of implementation deliverables
Acts as a liaison between end users, technical analysts, information technology analysts, consultants and other organizations in the analysis, design, configuration, testing and maintenance of IT systems to ensure optimal operational performance
Identify opportunities for improving business processes through information systems and/or nonsystem driver changes. Assists in the preparation of proposals to develop new systems and/or operational changes
Assist with the production of user acceptance plans, business cases and project charters
Provide work direction to technical staff and acts as a team lead on designated projects or assignments
Analyze of the integration of different information systems
Carry out data analysis and data modelling
Assistant on relevant parts of testing, analysis, technical documentation, deployment, evaluation and reporting

Requirements:

What do you need to succeed at this position?

Hold minimum a Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Indepth knowledge of information systems matters and business processes analysis
Very good knowledge of software development processes
Good knowledge of Agile principles
Knowledge of BPM Standards (BPMN)
Expertise in UML
Good knowledge of interoperability technology (Service Oriented Architecture, web services, messageoriented middleware)
Capability to write clear and structured technical documents
Good knowledge of, and experience with drafting functional / business use cases
Handson experience with modelling and analysis tools (e.g. Visio, Gliffy, Enterprise Architect).
Proficiency in English language at advanced level

Not required, but desired

Experience with Jira
Experience in writing reports and project management artefacts is an asset (e.g. Business Case, Project Charters documents)
Good understanding of the Commission business processes
Proficiency in French language
