Citymesh NV, European leader in installing private 4G/5G networks and WiFi-as-a-service, is seeking for a Junior datecenter Network engineer.


As a Junior Security Expert, you'll play a vital role in safeguarding our operations and customer data, working with a diverse range of tools and solutions in the cybersecurity domain.

As we expand our security team, we are seeking a motivated Junior Security Expert who is eager to learn, adapt, and contribute to our commitment to excellence.


Key Responsibilities:

Access Control Management: Manage user access controls, authentication mechanisms, IAM, and PAM systems to ensure appropriate user privileges in coordination with the IT and DevOps teams.

Policy Development & Maintenance: Assist in developing and maintaining security policies, procedures, and guidelines in coordination with the different departments, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations.

Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Identify and assess potential security risks and vulnerabilities within our infrastructure, systems, and processes.

Security Event Monitoring: Utilize managed SOC services for monitoring security-related events, alerts, and logs using EDR, NDR, SIEM, and intelligence tools to investigate, prevent, and identify potential security incidents.

Penetration Testing & Vulnerability Assessment: Govern the penetration testing and vulnerability assessment program, ensuring thorough analysis and reporting of findings.

Security Audits & Compliance: Conduct security audits and assessments to ensure compliance with relevant security standards, regulations, and policies under the guidance of the CISO.

Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with emerging security threats, technologies, and industry best practices, driving continuous improvement in security processes and controls.

Collaboration & Education: Work closely with development teams to promote secure software development practices and conduct security awareness programs for employees, educating them on best practices and policies


Technical Expertise and Tool Proficiency:

As a Junior Security Engineer, you will actively assist in evaluating, implementing, and managing security tools and technologies, including but not limited to:


  • Mobile Device Management (MDM): Collaborate on securing and managing mobile devices within the organization's network.

Identity & Access Management (IAM) and Privileged Access Management (PAM): Assist in managing user access controls and authentication mechanisms, ensuring secure privileges for users.

Password Manager: Contribute to maintaining robust password security measures across systems and user accounts.

Third Party Risk Management (TPRM): Participate in assessing and mitigating risks associated with external partners or vendors.

Threat Intelligence: Utilize intelligence tools to gather, analyze, and proactively respond to potential threats.

Attack Surface Monitoring/Management (ASM): Contribute to monitoring and managing the organization's attack surface to preempt vulnerabilities.

Account Takeover Prevention: Work on strategies and tools to prevent unauthorized access and account takeovers.

Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) and Network Detection & Response (NDR): Collaborate in detecting and responding to threats across endpoints and networks.

Intrusion Detection & Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS): Assist in deploying and managing systems to identify and prevent potential intrusions.

Network Access & Control (NAC): Participate in controlling and managing network access for security purposes.

Patch & Vulnerability Management: Contribute to identifying vulnerabilities and ensuring timely patching and mitigation measures.

Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA): Assist in implementing and managing a Zero Trust architecture for network security.

Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB): Engage in securing cloud access and data in multi-cloud environments.

Backup & Recovery: Assist in ensuring the resilience and recovery of critical systems and data.

Persistent Penetration Testing: Contribute to ongoing testing to identify and address potential security weaknesses continuously.


Standards, Frameworks & Regulatory Compliance:


The role involves working within the framework of various security standards, frameworks, and regulations, such as ISO 2700, CIS Controls v8, NIST CSF, NIS, and GDPR.


You'll be responsible for aligning security practices and procedures to comply with these standards and regulations, ensuring the highest level of security across the organization's operations.
