    Role

    The Finance Manager for the Lessines plant assumes the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for their plant's end-to-end supply chain. Reporting directly to the EMEA/APAC Group Controller and indirectly to the Plant Leader.

    This role oversees an annual budget of $255M in value of production, and $35M of inventory. The plant has a workforce of 390 employees.

    Responsibilities

    As a member of the plant Senior Leadership Team (SLT), the Finance Manager primary responsibilities are:

    Compliance:

  • Provides oversight of all plant related GAAP, SOX and Baxter policy requirementsThe Plant Controller has ultimate responsibility for their plant's financial records (P&L and BS)

    • Reporting:

  • Provides relevant, accurate and timely communication of financial performance (past, present, and future)Includes oversight of month end closing, the submission of weekly pulses, the preparation of quarterly forecasts and the preparation of the budgets (annual and long-range plans)

  • Maximizes financial performance through analysis, guidance, and accountabilityAchieves financial results as committedManufacturing VariancesOperating IncomeCash FlowCapital investments (on time and on budget)Value Improvement Project (VIP) generation and execution

    • Critical areas of focus:

  • Identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvement (both financial and operational)
  • Develop and execute action plans to drive profitable growth
  • Support and participate in the standardization and modernization of ISC financial processes
  • Actively liaise with process business partners (FP&A COE, FPO, BBS, Global ISC) in the pursuit of more efficient and effective ways to fulfill the Plant Controller's responsibilities

    • Qualifications/Education/Experiences:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, MBA or equivalent preferred
  • 8-10 years' experience in manufacturing or supply chain finance
  • Background in standard costing, budget management and capital analysis and control
  • Proven track record of identifying and implementing change
  • Has effectively communicated at all levels of the organization in both formal and informal environments
  • Experience in a global, diverse matrixed organization
  • Capable of executing a business case for change by analyzing and leveraging best practices
  • Maintains a strong presence, with the ability to manage indirect reporting relationships
  • Experience working with Lean concepts and tools is preferred
