The Position:

As an accountant, you are responsible for managing and auditing financial data. You play a crucial role in ensuring financial integrity and accurately reporting the financial situation of the company.

You often collaborate with other departments, such as our production team, and management, to ensure that financial processes run efficiently and effectively.

You will primarily be based at our headquarters in Brussels. Remote work is possible.


Responsibilities:

• Accounting: Processing financial transactions, such as invoices, payments, bank statements, and expense claims. You ensure that all financial data is accurately entered into the accounting system.
• Reporting: Preparing, analysing, and interpreting financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. You identify trends, variances, and financial risks and communicate them to management.
• Taxes and Compliance: Ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations. You prepare tax returns to ensure the organisation meets all tax obligations.
• Audits: Collaborating with external auditors during financial audits. You provide relevant documentation and answer inquiries to ensure a smooth audit process.
• Advisory: Providing financial advice to management based on thorough financial analyses. You contribute to strategic decisionmaking and assist in identifying costsaving opportunities or process improvements.

Profil:


Requirements:

• A bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, tax legislation, and financial reporting standards.
• Experience with accounting software and Google Sheets.
• Experience with Excel is a plus
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
