We're doing this by hiring exceptional people and are now looking for a People Adviser to join our team.


About the role


As an experienced People Adviser, you will operate on a stand-alone basis, taking responsibility for any HR operational issues for our employees based in Belgium and The Netherlands.

Although you will be the primary HR contact for this area of the business, you will also be an integral part of a small People team based predominantly in Chester and will report to our People Business Partner.


About you

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with business leaders, serving as a trusted advisor on all HR matters.
  • Provide guidance and support on employee relations, including investigations and conflict resolution.
  • Design and deliver training programmes that promote employee development and enhance organisational capabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including labour and employment laws.
  • Lead and manage HR projects and initiatives that support business objectives, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
  • Work in collaboration with the UK People team to ensure effective integration of our new operating model and a positive employee experience
  • Effectively manage the smooth running of the payroll function
  • Role model for our culture and values

Essential Skills

  • Progressive experience of 2 to 5 years in an HR Generalist or HR Adviser role
  • Ability to understand and align HR strategies with business objectives.
  • Demonstrated experience across all areas of the employee lifecycle, including compensation and benefits, L&D, talent management, organisational development and employee relations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence key stakeholders.
  • Good understanding of employment legislation within Belgium and The Netherlands.
  • Experience of change management processes relating to restructuring, consultation on terms & conditions, redundancy, business transfers and other corporate consultation programmes
  • Fluent oral and written skills in English and French. (Oral and written skills in Dutch are desirable)
  • Has the confidence to challenge the status quo and offer new ideas to enable continuous improvement.
  • Has a 'can do' attitude and a solutions based approach.
  • Project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on time and on budget.

Hours of work
We operate a hybrid working arrangement where possible. Initially we would require the People Adviser to work predominantly

on site to build relationships with their client base and manage any ongoing project/integration work.
