Department Info:

This position is within the new
Therapeutic Interventional Oncology (TIO) Organisation of Terumo.

This organization is comprised of Medical Strategy, Research & Development, Software Development, Medical Imaging Discovery, and Operations (incl Supply Chain).

It is entirely dedicated to offer more therapeutic solution to cancer patients.

Job Summary:


As the Medical Affairs Associate you will coordinate the Investigator Initiated Studies (IIS) program by providing assistance in the financial management and administration process.

You'll be the spider in the web when it comes to following up internal and external stakeholders and making sure all contract and study conditions are up to date and in line with any relevant compliance rules and regulations.

You are detail and team oriented and you can communicate effectively throughout the organisation.


Responsibilities:


  • Coordination of the Investigator Initiated Studies (IIS) program:
  • Coordinates the approval cycle of each new IIS from submission to final Grants & Donations Committee approval.
  • Coordinates the setup of the Research Grant Agreements within the Contract Management System (CMS).
  • Prepares documentation to obtain internal budget approval.
  • Followsup with sponsors on payment milestones and arranges payment.
  • Tracks progress and maintains documentation within the Veeva system.
  • Prepares reports for management within the Veeva system.
  • Assistance with the financial management within Interventional Oncology Medical Affairs:
  • Compiles budget actual & forecasts for Company Sponsored Studies (CSS) in efficient collaboration with Clinical Project Manager and/or Clinical Research Associate
  • Compiles budget actual & forecasts for the IIS program.
  • Prepares monthly & quarterly status reports.
  • Administrative support to the Medical Affairs team with Strategic and Medical Advisory Boards:
  • Establishes the required Non-Disclosure Agreements and Consulting Agreements within the CMS and by developing compliant and honest relationships with healthcare providers/organizations
  • Assists the TIO Medical Team with the preparation of the scientific presentations through multi channels (congress, staff, ad boards ).

Profile Description:


  • EDUCATION:
  • Master's degree
  • JOB EXPERIENCE:
  • At least 3 years of industry working experience
  • At least 3 years of direct experience in support of clinical studies
  • First experience in financial management, e.g contract management, budget forecasting,
  • Thorough understanding of key stakeholders in clinical research
  • SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
  • Analytic mindset
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong capabilities to work in a matrix and crossfunctional environment
  • Strong personal integrity
  • Team player
  • Fluent in English, one other European language is a plus
