As a Buyer Raw Materials your main tasks will be the co-ordination of the strategic procurement process and Supplier Relationship Management - this includes:

Evaluation of quotations and negotiation
Vendor Selection and contracting (incl. Price and Contract negotiation)
Postacquisition (vendor management, contract management, performance management, vendor rating, support auditing)
Execution of the purchasing strategy to ensure longterm availability of materials
Monitoring, supporting and documenting Cost Saving ideas/projects
Coordination of complaint followup. Problem solving in case of incidents created by Suppliers (including reporting of financial claims if needed)
Collaboration with the local purchasing teams on topics such as supply shortages, rolling forecasts, optimization of inventory levels

Bachelor or Masters degree in Logistics/Supply Chain
Minimum 3 years experience as a buyer
Strong negotiation skills
Experience with ERP systems & MS Office
Excellent communication skills in English both oral and written; strong negotiation skills; relationship building and management skills
Forward thinking, selfdirected, capable of taking independent actions, and ability to take decisions that drive business performance
Ability to partner external and internal contacts (Quality, R&D, Supply Chain, Operations, Sales) in order to promote the value of the procurement organization
Engagement in continuous learning to keep uptodate information on new product and market trends, learn through daily work experience, by reading trade publications and by talking with coworkers, colleagues and suppliers
