OVERALL CONTEXT
Remote Terminal Units (RTU) are highly configurable equipment, interfacing with satellite's On Board Computers and sensors & actuators.

Thales Alenia Space Belgium (TAS-B) developed a family of products, highly configurable thanks to its structure based on a library of functions, implemented on different types of modules, themselves integrated with different combinations in the unit.

This high configurability allows responding the different customer needs at reduced development cost.

INTERNSHIP SUBJECT
Documenting this portfolio of modules and functions, and generating project level reports, in an efficient way remains a challenge.

Indeed, maintaining up to date information in several document, related to the same function, and for different project is not an easy job.

The goal of this internship is to define (or select) a tool to create an maintain a database of relevant technical information, and generate all required project document, based on the configuration of that particular RTU.

Once the tool is selected, it will have to be setup and a first test case will be implemented for validation

This proposed internship position (12 weeks) is for both Bachelor and Master student.

Intern will be mainly located in Leuven, but contact with colleagues from Charleroi will be needed (both located in Belgium).

CANDIDATE PROFILES

University/Engineering school student with at least two years of study completed in Software Engineering;
Knowhow of database and versioning management, Windows environment.
Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking); French is an asset.
