We redefine what an earplug should sound, look and feel like. Whether it's hearing protection or comfort for your ears, Loop enables you to live life at your volume. Our founders Maarten and Dimitri started Loop back with a big idea. And a chronic ringing in their ears.

Since then, we've helped more than 3,500,000 customers around the world to find quiet, enjoy great experiences and keep unwanted noise at bay.

In 2023 we grew from almost 100 Loopers to over 250 people.

And that's a number we would have to keep updating every month, as we are planning to double the team once again, this year.


Our headquarters are based in Antwerp, but with hubs in Amsterdam, Shanghai, and New York, we're dotted all over the globe.


Not to brag about it, but we've recently won the EY Scale up of the year award, the Deloitte Fast50 award (for the second year in a row) and a couple of other amazing (international) prices.

The New York Times named us 'best earplugs for concerts' and thousands of noise-sensitive customers call us a 'life changer'.


About the role:

Data, data, data Yes, data is still the new gold and we have a lot of it.

To make sure we utilize all this data as good as possible, we are seeking a Data Engineering Manager to streamline our data flow and bring our architecture to the next level.

Someone who thrives in a fast paced environment and is willing to work towards the most modern data infrastructure out there.

We started our modern data stack strong with tools like Fivetran, Snowflake, DBT,... However, we are actively looking for new opportunities where we can leverage our data even more.

You'll actively seek ways to create new advantages within the data landscape. We're looking for someone who is up to date on the latest news in the world of data.

Loop differentiates from other companies as we have no legacy systems and there is actual room to build the most modern data stack out there.

And as we scale into the future, making sure we integrate other systems within the current architecture will be key to stay ahead of the competition.


The mission involves delivering a robust architecture that delivers data flows from ingestion to model delivery in a smooth way.

Help improve the quality of the data we utilize on a daily basis and make sure all of this is done in a scalable way.

Having experience with building and managing a team of high performing individuals will be one of your assets as we keep up with the pace of the company.


What you'll do:


  • Responsible for designing and maintenance of the data ingestion flows and our data warehouse.
  • Developing a scalable environment to keep up with the pace of the company.
  • Building and managing a team of highly motivated individuals.
  • Making sure our data is accessible, secure and of a high quality.
  • Understand all functionalities of the latest tools like Snowflake, DBT,... and know how to roll out these features.
  • Keep up with the latest trends and emerging technologies.

How you'll do it:


  • 8+ years of relevant experience
  • 3+ years of experience in hiring and people management
  • Experience with Snowflake and DBT
  • Strong understanding of concepts like Data Mesh, Data lakes, Data Governance and Compliance, Data Engineering, CI/CD,...
  • A healthy interest in everything regarding Technology like LLMs, AI, Selfservice Analytics,...
