Describe the context.
We are a new company hiring for our first product designer. This position has a lot of ownership of the early product, open collaboration with the development team and license to define many of our core features. You would be surrounded by the energy and positivity of an inspired team each day, learning and growing together. We're at the forefront of an accessible DevOps and Security industry, and so the work you do will be seen and felt by a huge number of people. Your work could be critical in defining the experience of online security.
What will you be doing...
- You will be working with engineers and CPO to define problem statements and develop effective solutions based in real user insights.
- Taking individual projects from ideation to execution and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver the most effective solution
- Working within, contributing to, and evolving a design system
- Selecting the appropriate type of research and actively conducting research continuously. You would also be identifying and interpreting the relevant research from the rest of the team
- Bringing a candid curiosity to every solution, business goal and element. We expect questions to advance, so you'll be encouraged to ask questions, provide constructive feedback and also be able to receive and incorporate feedback in your own work.
Who are we looking for?
- You have at least 3 years of experience in designing complex products end-to-end
- You are able to speak through your work and design process from concept to launch, developing solutions using research, and measuring their impact
- You are a structured thinker and love communicating concepts and ideas throughout the process, and you have the ability to speak expertly about your own design work
- Have designed products with large data sets or complex process' and produced crystal clear results
- Experience working within and actively contributing to design systems
- Plus: experience in DevOps tools
