We are looking for a
Finance Business Partner
Development Solutions, to join us in
Insight to Impact (i2i) R&D
team, part of
Corporate Development & Finance (CD&F) department, based in our headquarters in
Brussels,
Belgium.
About the role
As a Finance Business Partner for Development Solutions, you will be the point of contact for the Development Solutions Patient Value Unit (DS PVU) and ensure and maintain a strong relationship with the sub-teams.
The i2i R&D team acts as an independent sparring partner to the R&D teams, providing insights and creating impact by connecting the dots, assessing risk and opportunities including resource reallocation, while performing business planning.
Who you will work with
You will work primarily with the senior stakeholders in the various sub-teams within the DS PVU. You will also work with colleagues within I2IR&D, the FP&A teams, talent partners, accounting, planning and reporting among others.
What you will do
- Develop and maintain an effective working relationship / partnership with DS PVU stakeholders by being both a trusted partner along with the ability to challenge and influence decisionmaking.
- Develop a deep understanding of the activities of the various subteams within DS PVU, business drivers and external partnerships with the ability to connect the dots, identify opportunities, and process improvements across the value chain.
- Work collaboratively with the FP&A ensuring roles & responsibilities are clearly mapped and ensuring timely and accurate financial analysis is generated based on standardized, highquality reporting.
- Take joint responsibility with FP&A for Budget, Forecasting and Long-Term Plan process for the Development Solutions Patient Value Unit (DS PVU) including the allocation of internal resources.
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and yearend close process, and ensure accruals are consistent with IFRS.
- Lead monthly financial reporting incorporating insights and providing forward looking perspectives.
- Develop and validate business cases for new or incremental investment opportunities.
- Drive dynamic resource allocation and prioritization within DS PVU and appropriate Stakeholders in the Units to provide transparency and decisionmaking.

- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Business Administration.
- Strong skills in financial analysis, forecasting, understanding of key business drivers.
- Proven experience of several years in controlling, preferably in international pharma / biopharma company.
- Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Attention to detail and quality of work.
- Ability to anticipate changes and risks proactively via alternative scenarios.
- Experience in SAP, FICO modules.
- Good accounting knowledge (IFRS).
- Ability to positively challenge and influence.
- Strong communication, timemanagement, collaboration, and organisation skills.
- Planning and decision making.
- Selfmotivation and cando attitude.
- Ability to work with diverse teams in different geographies.
