Objective of the function- Ensure compliance with Functional Safety Standards (e.g. IEC

Ensure each EMEAA site having a PSM (Process Safety Management) / Functional Safety Management System where employees are involved in the development and process of PHA (Process Hazard Analysis).
Responsibilities/Duties**Compliance and regulatory
Ensure that the Functional Safety Management System (FSMS) is implemented and is audited in accordance with standard requirements in applicable facilities;
Ensure all Functional Safety (FS) roles are filled and duties and responsibilities are understood at local/corporate levels;
Ensure compliance with FS requirements (of standard);
Review the FSMS periodically in accordance with standard requirements
Monitor for any standard updates and make needed changes;
Support regulatory and internal audits to ensure all responses and corrective actions are completed and closed out in a timely manner.

**Management

Review and assist with the design of FSMS projects for facilities as needed.
Lead and participate in site meetings for FSMS implementation.
Work with engineering team for equipment installation or modification projects to ensure requirements are met during the lifetime of equipment.
Ensure proper and timely reporting of projects to Corporate EHS.
Initiate and assist in managing improvement plans (CAPA) with local teams.
Manage Suppliers of Safety Systems/consultants related to PSM/FSMS matters.

Process Safety Information

Ensure local staff review piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID's) for accuracy at least annually and maintain documentation.
Ensure each plant has the compliancerelated information/documentation compiled as per PSM/RM standard requirements.
Teach, train, coach, and mentor site and maintenance team on FSMS.

Training

Develop and promote a corporate FS training guideline for all relevant levels of organization,

Incident Investigation

Ensure each plant maintains the Incident Investigation log for each FS related incident
Authority:
Reports in a direct line to the Corporate EHS Director for EMEAA.
Requirements:
Knowledge/Education and Training:
Engineer degree
TUV Certified in Functional Safety (Safety Instrumented Systems, HW/SW Design acc. to IEC 61508, Functional Safety of Machinery)
Experience:
Good industrial experience in Functional Safety Management
Experience in performing Risk Assessment/ PHA
5 years experience in a similar role
