ABOUT THE RESEARCH GROUP


The Service Innovation & Design group at UGent - also known as the Center for Service Intelligence - UGent (CSI-UGent) - focuses on scientific research, education, and services around service innovation for a healthy, digitized, and circular world.


YOUR TASKS

  • At least 70% of your assignment will be spent on academic research that resonates with the research lines of the Center for Service Intelligence
  • Ugent (CSI-UGent).
  • You are, in collaboration with one or more promotors at CSI-UGent, responsible for developing a research proposal with the aim of securing an FWO postdoc research grant.
  • You will assist in teaching activities at the Bachelor's or Master's level
  • You will participate in coaching master students and PhD students.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • You hold a doctoral degree in business economics.
  • For diplomas awarded outside the European Union, a certificate of equivalence (NARIC) must be submitted
  • The degree requirement needs to be fulfilled at the start of your appointment.
  • You have already conducted research within the field of service innovation for a healthy, digitalized, and/or circular world
  • You may present relevant scientific publications in (inter)national peerreviewed academic journals that are widely disseminated
  • Publications in the research domain are a must.
  • Publications that are listed in Web of Science are strongly recommended.
  • You have a promising research pipeline (e.g. publications in the review process of impactful journals).
  • You have distinguished yourself as a promising researcher along the doctoral trajectory
  • You are profoundly interested in coaching students in the Bachelor's, Master's and/or PhD programmes

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU

  • We offer you a temporary appointment for a period of 1 year. The appointment cannot be renewed
  • Even if you have already been appointed earlier (whether or not at another university and whether or not in the same field of discipline) in a first term of up to 3 years, you can apply. The second appointment does not have to be immediately connected to a first term
  • Your appointment will start on 1 September 202
  • Your remuneration will be determined according to salary scale AAP5. More information about our salary scales
