Summary:


Are you passionate about transforming Europe's migration ecosystem and promoting inclusion? Join EPIM (European Programme for Integration and Migration), Europe's only collaborative fund active on issues of migration and inclusion.


As a multidisciplinary, migrant-led team, we take a systems approach to improving the lives of migrants and their host societies.

EPIM employs a (relatively) flat structure, with a newly established co-leadership model that fosters a culture of equity, care, and justice, embraces difference, and supports everyone in the team to thrive.


EPIM will be concluding the foundational phase of its Process of Change in the Autumn, rethinking where it should go as a philanthropic collaborative beyond 2023.

In connection to this, EPIM is currently seeking a dedicated Programme Manager, who will be responsible for implementing much of EPIM's new approach to shaping the future of migration in Europe.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Lead grantmaking initiatives: expand EPIM's outreach to the migration ecosystem, develop and implement impactful grantmaking processes, evaluate submissions, and enhance our grantmaking
  • Shape the operationalisation of our systems change efforts: play a pivotal role in driving EPIM's strategic endeavours, including hosting sensemaking exercises and designing communities of practice
  • Curate engaging events: colead the conception, design, and execution of meaningful convenings and events to facilitate collaboration and knowledge exchange
  • Drive strategic relationships: foster strong connections with partners across the ecosystem, learning from them and offering guidance and support
  • Implement EPIM's learning frameworks: collaborate on the development of EPIM's learning framework to optimize the impact of our initiatives and their implementation

Key responsibilities include:

Grantmaking

  • Lead on and provide comprehensive support for EPIM's grantmaking initiatives
  • Design and implement inclusive grantmaking methodologies
  • Establish and nurture professional and trust relationships with partners across Europe
  • Learn from and advise grantee partners
Running Pilots, communities of practice and implementing other participatory methodologies

  • Design and implement existing and future EPIM pilots and communities of practice
  • Host sensemaking exercises and participatory learning processes
Facilitation, curation, and convening

  • Facilitate impactful discussions and curate engaging events
  • Foster an inclusive environment during convenings
Impact & Learning

  • Coshape development and deployment of EPIM's Impact and Learning system
In addition, you will also play a key role in EPIM's overall strategy development and communication


Requirements:


  • Embodies a passion for migration and inclusion: ideally, you have personal experience with migration and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by migrants and their host societies.
  • Demonstrates systems change expertise: you possess a proven track record of developing and implementing innovative ideas that drive systems change in complex social contexts and have demonstrated an ability of doing this in at least one European country
  • Can Lead participatory processes and convenings: you are able to ideate, design and execute different types of participatory processes, events and multistakeholder gatherings
  • Excels in relationshipbuilding: you have excellent relationshipbuilding skills, enabling you to establish and maintain strong connections with grantees, foundations, and other partners
  • A handson approach: as part of a small team, you are comfortable with handson implementation you're not afraid of getting your hands dirty and can also support the development and execution strategic plans
  • Is familiar with funding/grantmaking: you can work in a structured and systematic manner and are familiar with the grantmaking process on either side

Essential skills:


  • Facilitation, ideation, and participatory design skills
  • Proficiency in synthesizing data and insights to inform strategic processes.
  • Competence in designing and implementing monitoring, evaluation, and learning frameworks
  • Strong planning, organizational, and coordination skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team
  • Sensitivity and diplomacy, the ability to listen to and work with different stakeholders, including those with views that might be in opposition to yours
  • Nearnative fluency in English and at least one European language (additional languages are most welcome)

Desired experiences (professional, volunteer and lived):

  • A track record of working with migrants
  • Lived experience of Europe's migration systems and its regimes
  • Experience in developing and managing grant programmes, including budgeting skills
  • Experience in nonprofit work, community organising, philanthropy or social or the private sector more broadly
