Business Development Manager

Benelux
As a Business Development Manager you will develop and optimize the influencer strategy.

The main purpose is to build strong relationships with major influencers (essentially OEM's and MSO,s), to select the right potential partners and to negotiate and implement agreements with them in order to achieve overall financial targets (profitable growth).


Key Responsibilities

  • To build strong and effective relationships with selected OEM's, dealership networks,, MSO,s, insurers and other significant influencers
  • To negotiate influencer contracts as strategy dictates to achieve PPG financial goals
  • To support delivery of new wins and account retentions and work with organization and influencer to deliver agreed commercial value from contracts
  • To plan and coordinate implementation of new agreements
  • To support sales in their contacts/negotiations with OEM's and other selected influencers
  • To coordinate and prepare tenders with major influencers
  • Ensure that the influencer requirements are met as contracted and manage ongoing relationship
  • Actively communicate needs and developments of influencers and OEM's to the Business
  • Develop and maintain a multicontact sales strategy involving Purchasing, Customer Service, Parts/After Sales etc
  • Meet all reporting requirements
  • Cultivate OEM relationships to obtain OEM approvals as a Refinish supplier; upon obtaining approvals, support local OEM Account Managers and sales teams with education and counsel on how to best leverage PPG's position with competitor accounts to secure new business
  • In conjunction with PPG Technical, outline and manage the process that includes all logistics of panels, samples, testing, etc. tied to the approval process. This requires a good understanding of OEM testing procedures, organization and delivery times frames. Follow up on process issues which inhibit the approval process.
  • Manage all activities in compliance with the PPG Blue print objectives, EHS goals, Quality, Business conduct and code of ethics policies.

Qualifications

  • Accurate numerical reasoning, with good understanding of numeric models
  • Good understanding of OEM testing procedures, organization and delivery times frames
  • Excellent communicator at all levels, written and verbal
  • Project management experience
  • High level presentation skills
  • Proven negotiation skills
  • Microsoft Office and similar products user
  • Proven sales track record at board room level, preferably in the refinish industry
  • Mobility/flexibility (frequent and long travels)
  • Languages: Dutch, English, French and German
