Proximus Media House - PMH - is the affiliate in the Proximus group that holds creativity, technology, know-how and top tier solutions for content editing, (live) production, broadcasting and media asset management.

Content is rendered available anywhere, anytime, on any platform.
PMH offers a 360° approach to content products through creation, production, purchase, and exploitation. PMH operates on behalf of Proximus Group as well as external clients on the Belgian market.
Pickx+, Pickx+ Sports and Pickx Live are entirely PMH driven.

Long-term freelance assignment

For this fulltime position, you must reside in or be willing to relocate to
Belgium._

As a Product Owner:

You maximize the customer value creation by defining and prioritizing the deliverables.
You can only succeed if the entire organization respects your decisions. These decisions are visible in the content and prioritization of the Squad backlog and through the demonstrated increments during sprint reviews. You report into the Pickx Tribe Lead.

Your role is to:
- develop and communicate owned product vision and synchronize it with Tribe Leads and other PO's
- maintain a transparent, visible, and prioritized Squad backlog and ensure all Squad members understand the 'what' of the work and the 'why' of the priorities
- manage the 'what' in a Squad, hence keep the expected quality level through the whole process based on defined acceptance criteria
- ensure that all stakeholders know about the functional and non-functional requirements. The latter includes topics like security, resilience and performance, but also - contractual, legal and compliance requirements and obligations.
- interact via different ceremonies with the rest of the Tribe and other teams for maintaining alignment and collaboration.
- closely work together with the chapters, agile coaches and scrum masters for evaluating team performance

Your mission as Live Events & Linear Channels Product Owner:

Build, maintain and constantly improve production process for all live produced events within our Pickx editorial product.
You develop and maintain Proximus Media House Broadcast environment and Live Production facilities, incl. linear channels distribution, to reply to the needs of our own Pickx editorial products and for our services catalogue to third parties.

In a nutshell:

you define the purposes of our Live production environment and the most efficient way to bring new live-broadcasted or live-recorded content on air.

High-level backlog:

Define investment strategy of PMH Broadcast environment.
Develop and maintain Live Production facilities and services.
Champion Live Production processes for new content
Continuously improve and optimize current Production processes.
Bringing innovative solutions and new initiatives: like automation and new technologies or enhanced content experience through opportunity use case

Knowledge and technical skills required:

At least 5 years of experience in media, content and/or related products or services in Proximus or other Media or Broadcast companies in Belgium, with focus on content production and good knowledge in broadcast/audiovisual technology
Strong technical background and relevant experience as product manager or vendor in the technical field of live broadcast.
Project management experience throughout different segments and/or departments
Business acumen.
