Within our department Balance Sheet Management (BSM) with the mission of contributing to the company's overall decision making, by providing timely, accurate and relevant information, analysis and capital management actions, we are seeking a Senior Capital Management Actuary to reinforce our BSM department by contributing to the modelling and reporting in accordance with the latest regulatory and accounting requirements (Solvency II, IFRS17 and EBS), capital management, ALM, reinsurance, new business profitability, strategic balance sheet operations (M&A etc.).

Responsibilities:

As Senior Capital Management Actuary, you will be a key contact between the CFO and Group Finance as you will be leading numerous Capital Management related topics within the BSM department, your responsibilities will include:

Coordinating and producing the yearly Integrated Management Plan process;
Producing and enhancing the Analysis of Change analysis (Assets, Liabilities and SCR) on a quarterly and yearly basis;
Monitoring the key capital management financial metrics;
Producing and enhancing the forecast of Solvency 2 positions (Own Fund and SCR) on a monthly and quarterly basis;
Communicating to business stakeholders and presenting to the different internal (local and Group) committees;
Contributing to the calibration and documentation of the non-economic assumptions (expense, mortality, lapse etc.);
Developing new capabilities, tools and methodologies to deep dive, monitor and optimize the impact on the balance sheet and capital;
Ensuring the compliance with the locally approved capital management policies;
Participating in transversal Balance Sheet Management projects (M&A, internal and external reinsurance implementation/review, portfolio transfer process, actuarial software migration etc.).

Profile:

You have a university degree, ideally in either economics, mathematics or actuarial science;
You have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role with experience in (re)insurance;
You have excellent knowledge of French or Dutch and a good command of the other national language and are comfortable working in English.
You have a strong knowledge of Solvency II, life (re)insurance modelling and capital management;
You have strong modelling capabilities and programming skills;
You have a very good command of MS Office;
You have an analytical mind and are solutions and results oriented.
You can communicate with all kinds of interlocutor and are able to present results to senior management effectively and clearly.
You are rigorous, organized and can manage your priorities and respect tight deadlines.
You are autonomous and quick to take the initiative
You have experience in managing/training actuaries and/or coordinating actuarial projects.
