About the Role

  • The QA coordinator's primary responsibility is to oversee and enhance the quality management system to ensure customer satisfaction with regard to quality. This involves ensuring that proper policies and procedures are followed during production to meet regulatory and customer standards. Additionally, the QA coordinator acts as a frontline responder to customer inquiries, requests, and complaints.
  • As part of the local QA team, the QA coordinator also serves as a backup in the absence of the QA Manager.
  • You play a crucial role in advocating for quality on the production floor, upholding and promoting safety standards, and supporting the QA manager in handling crises.
  • You lead efforts to drive positive changes in the production area, striving for enhanced quality standards and addressing non-conformances and complaints through detailed analysis and implementation of improvement plans.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Quality System: Supporting enhancements of the IBC system, maintaining the Quality Documentation System (QDS), and serving as a backup for the Quality Manager. Acting as a primary contact for shop floor supervisors and fostering a quality-oriented mindset.
  • Customer Service: Providing expert guidance to customers, ensuring the highest level of service, and incorporating customer requirements into quality systems.
  • QC of the Process: Overseeing quality control of incoming goods, CCP's, and process parameters, and actively supporting compliance efforts across functions.
  • Supplier Technical Point of Contact: Managing supplier information and coordinating with external labs for supplier complaints.
  • Ownership in Improvement Projects: Leading improvement initiatives through product and process knowledge, and engaging in quality-related problem-solving activities.
  • Various: Monitoring calibration certificates, participating in internal audits related to quality management, food safety, and sustainability.

About You

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Chemistry, Engineering, or equivalent field
  • Languages: Dutch, French, and English proficiency
  • 2+ years of experience in a quality or food safety-related role, with expertise in Food Safety, HACCP, GMP, and problem-solving principles
  • Experience in the Food Industry or similar GMP-regulated sectors
  • Proficiency in project management and auditing, familiarity with BRC, FSSC 22000, Kosher, UTZ/FT, and Regulatory affairs
