Purpose
This position is responsible for managing the financial accounting and reporting functions.

The Team Leader Accounting will manage a set of accounting activities to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, corporate policies, and external audits.

This person will manage the accounts payable, monthly closing of accounts and preparation of reports in support of the financial statements_.

Essential Functions

  • High accountability for ethics in reporting
  • Manages financial accounting reporting; including creation of internal financial statements and transmission of monthly results to Group Finance
  • Interfaces with internal and external auditors
  • Manages month, quarter and year end close process
  • Responsible for regulatory filings
  • Interacts regularly with the Finance director and controller to report on discrepancies between budget and actuals
  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Skills needed to be successful

  • Excellent technical and PC skills
  • Analytical skills for complex financial analysis and review
  • Able to provide timely guidance and feedback
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively
  • Demonstrated success with time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to lead and manage a team and projects

Experience & education

  • Master's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years accounting experience including management of financial and project accounting
  • Fluent in Dutch, knowledge of French and English (Spanish is a pro)
  • Practical training or experience in an Audit or CPA firm is beneficial
  • Experience in Software industry
  • Experience working with international operations
