Duties:

Incumbent is responsible for a variety of complex vouchers and invoices submitted to the Financial Management Center for payment.

Incumbent will provide management the flexibility necessary to effectively use staff resources by covering extended absences and vacancies, and temporarily workload increases.

Therefore, incumbent can be requested to process any type of payments.


Vouchering Functions
Process invoices and other claims for payment from the U.S. Government funds.

For both serviced and non-serviced agencies incumbent verifies that claims are legal, accurate and proper by examination of authorizing, supporting documentation and governing regulations, laws, etc.

Assures that payment vouchers are supported by documentary evidence showing a valid written agreement has been executed, recorded and is on file; assures that the request for payment is in accordance with the provisions, terms, and conditions of the agreement (contract, purchase request, etc.) and that value added tax (VAT) and other taxes are in accordance with the current VAT exemption rules.

Communicates with vendors regarding invoices that are inaccurate, redundant, unpaid, or without any reference to a procurement action.


Data Collection Duties


Incumbent needs to ensure post process is documented in internal procedures to ensure ongoing success of the global utility management program.


Qualifications and Evaluations:


  • Requirements:

EXPERIENCE:
At least one year progressively responsible work in finance functions or in an administrative function.


JOB KNOWLEDGE:
Incumbent must be customer oriented. Must possess good problem-solving skills. Must have good soft skills (communication skills, teamwork and interpersonal skills).

  • Education Requirements:
Two years of post-secondary education is required.

  • Evaluations:

LANGUAGE:
Fluency in English. Fluency in Dutch or French. This may be tested.

The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
