The BRS business is growing at high pace, the purpose of the job is to represent Umicore BRS in North America, gain a foothold in the market and develop new business with global automotive OEM, battery manufacturers and Li ion battery end of life collectors.
The position has to identify and execute on business opportunities with the automotive OEM's, battery manufacturers and sources for end of life Li ion battery packs or modules.
Main Responsabilities:
- Put BRS on the map in NAM, win key projects and ensure their smooth launch as outlined in the commercial roadmap. Responsible for realization of local supply volumes & revenue as defined in IBP.
- Build strong relationships and partnerships with North American OEMs, Cell makers & collectors (SNT, ) at all levels of the organisation, influencing them in their recycling decisions.
- Build strong relationships and partnerships with major OEMs and battery manufacturers at all levels of the organization, work out specific, tailor made operational solutions for as long as BRS has no assets in NAM.
- Establish a network of potential partners to treat BRS outlet products.
- Local point of contact for NAM HQ traders, recyclers or refiners which BRS sales team has contracted
- Develop and conclude long standing partnerships on Supply side that justify investment in local recycling capacity
- Develop and conclude long standing partnerships with logistics, warehousing & dismantling companies to support local pretreatment subcontracting.
- Responsible for the global development and execution of the business strategy of North American headquartered customers as outlined in the BRS business plan.
- Represent BRS at conferences & associations.
- Support the localization of recycling to the to be newly established North American plant
- Work out, define & advise local NAM strategy
We are looking for
- University Master degree in Engineering/Science/Economics/Business Administration
- Ideally some Executive education in sales/marketing/strategy
- Work experience for minimum 1015 years, preferably in a B2B commercial environment in automotive, metals or materials
- Understanding of the North American regulations related to battery recycling preferred
- Good demonstrated technical understanding of metalbased materials. Experience in battery technology & cathode materials is an advantage
- English (fluent)
