Payroll Expert (Freelance Contract) – Banking Client – BrusselsDuration: 12 month contract
Hybrid Working – 8 days onsite per month, the rest is remote working

Payroll Operations
You ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll for Belgium, in collaboration with payroll providers and the local payroll team.
It will include the preparation, control, and finalization of monthly payroll but also annual calculations (e.g. single and double holiday pay, holiday attestations, 13th month, warrants, etc.), leavers calculation and launching interfaces between different systems.You report to the Head of Group Payroll Operations.

You report to the Head of Group HR Operations.
Communication
You collaborate closely with People and Organization colleagues and other internal teams (e.g. Finance, IT, etc.) on process management, to resolve any issues and to better serve the internal and external customers as One Team.
You share your expertise in a natural way with your colleagues and contribute to a knowledge management culture by producing clear documentation (Standard Operation Procedures, SharePoint related content)
You are a change agent and actively support the alignment of processes.
For success in the role, we expect the following qualifications
3-5 years of proven experience in payroll processing and familiarity with Belgian social and tax legislation.
Proficiency in Microsoft 0365 Word, Excel as well as various HR systems.
Knowledge of eBlox Payroll from SD Worx is essential.
Strong language skills:
fluency in English and either Dutch or French
Effective planning and organizational abilities.
Excellent written and spoken communication, along with interpersonal skills.
Accuracy and ability to work with deadlines
Understanding of payroll legislation and processes
Customer focused and pro-active.
Pragmatic problem-solving skills, maintaining focus on results and handling ambiguity
Analytical skills to interpret complex information and identify key data.
Flexibility as a team player, working toward common goals.
Proactive approach to problem solving and a demonstrated initiative.
Stress-resistant in a dynamic, international business context, accustomed to autonomous work and priority-setting.
